"When I try to redraw my grandmother in my imagination, the first thing that comes to my vision is a beautiful lady with a shy, yet smart smile always on her face. Her hair was always combed in a very neat way and a lipstick that marks off her lips, and here, I don't forget the pearl necklace that used to front her neck since the morning. I loved my grandmother a lot… and she loved me even more." Khaled Takreti says. I recall a special childhood that I spent between our house and my grandmothers' house, which needed a few steps to get there. I used to impatiently wait for the weekend vacation to go to her house, stay with her for the whole vacation and accompany her on her daily outings… visiting the florist to buy different kinds and colors of flowers, and then going to "Library Antoine" in 'Al-Hamra' Street to check the latest issues of the newspapers and magazines. And most of the times those trips used to end up at "Donald Duck" the famous toy store in the 70s', to complete my 'Lego' set and finish up my imaginary castle. I used to always be her pampered child and she used to always be my favorite grandmother."
