We are delighted to announce that Tammam Azzam will be featured in a DVC Books Publication titled Dissonance – Platform Germany.
The book will present eighty-one of the most significant painters living and working in Germany in the past two decades.
“Tammam Azzam came to Germany from Damascus via Dubai, settling first in Delmenhorst and later in Berlin, where he has been living since 2018.
While the long journey changed him personally, it also provided new stimuli for his art.
His work reflects experiences of violence, destruction and displacement, while at the same time experimenting with dif- ferent pictorial and sculptural models (including objects and installa- tions) in an attempt to communicate as directly as possible.
In light of the development of his work, it seems logical that he should now live in the former walled city of Berlin”.
